About The Role
As an FCI Data Analyst you will join our Financial Crime Intelligence team, within the Business Operations department. The FCI team is called upon by many areas within the business, to support internal and external clients understanding of current and potential fraud trends, and ensuring ROI for our clients by optimising existing strategies and recommending new ones.

The role will require excellent analytical and technical skills. The position also provides an opportunity to work in a flexible, innovative environment that encourages personal development and independent thinking.

Duties will include:

  • Providing expert technical support to the FCI Team facilitating the delivery of Financial Crime Intelligence to the business and client base
  •  Trouble shooting and resolving technical issues impacting the delivery of consultancy work
  • Providing FCI with bespoke reporting functions, creating new, and maintaining existing, analytical reports
  • Interrogating data to provide performance metrics and enhance existing reporting
  • Proactively identifying and implementing improvements to FCI BAU practices/reports.
  • Supporting the business in understanding the effectiveness of third party data sources (i.e. TPI, CRIF, Cifas etc) by monitoring and reporting performance.
  • Supporting the Financial Crime Consultants in reviewing client fraud performance and strategic improvements
About You
The successful applicant will have:
  • Excellent working knowledge of SQL
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to interrogate data in order to derive performance metrics
  • Practical experience of report design
  • The ability to create and sustain strong working relationships with key internal customer areas
  • Clear and concise communication style which can be adapted effectively to suit many different types of scenario including internal meetings and potentially client facing meetings
Whilst not essential, it would be beneficial if the successful candidate had:
  • A willingness and aptitude for learning with a view to expanding own knowledge of Financial Crime
  •  The ability to work on their own initiative, to set short-term objectives and priorities and to organise their own workload
  • Knowledge of Finance and Insurance sectors is welcome but not essential
