Product Manager (Insurance)

About The Role

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Product Manager to join our team. You will focus on product development in Fraud and Financial Crime within the Insurance sector and will work closely with the Head of Department to facilitate revenue growth and profitability.

What will you do?

  • Define a vision, then engage and communicate the strategy to achieve this vision to the relevant internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Develop and produce roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, value propositions and launch plans for your product portfolio and work with Marketing to produce product messaging.
  • Manage, measure, and drive sustainable business growth for your product portfolio, by collaborating with Sales and Account Management to understand their respective sales, forecasts, and pipelines. 
  • Be a Subject Matter Expert for your product portfolio, understanding the importance of individual product capabilities and which market segment or individual personas they apply to; and how your products fit into the wider portfolio. 
  • Analyse, appraise and document new opportunities for product enhancements and new product verticals through Concept Assessments and Battlecards.
  • Maintain an understanding of technology stack, system architecture and relevant technology trends for your product and work with the technical teams to maintain mutual alignment.
About You

What will you need?

  • Proven analytical skills, the ability to process data and produce reports on product performance to make evidence-based decisions on product development and retirement.
  • Track record of managing stakeholders and negotiating positively for mutual agreement on strategy and key features.
  • Strong commercial awareness, the ability to identify and manage revenue growth opportunities and ensure that the product fulfils business targets.
  • Ability to think holistically about implications of system changes, whilst maintaining attention to detail and ensuring all requirements are identified.
  • Experience of product development using cloud native technologies.
  • SaaS product management experience within a B2B environment is highly desirable.
  • A good working knowledge of the UK insurance industry, with the ability to articulate the full customer journey and identify any hurdles. Further experience within Fraud and Financial Crime, is highly desirable.
