To work for Synectics you need to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any exceptions to that clearance. Synectics will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of the work the business conducts, you must hold a UK nationality or meet the 5-year minimum residency criteria.

What You’ll Do 

As a Graduate Linux & Cloud Engineer, you’ll be at the heart of our IT operations, learning from experienced professionals and contributing to exciting projects. Your role will include: 

  • Supporting the design, transition and operation of Linux services. 

  • Assisting with incident resolution and service improvements. 

  • Helping plan and implement new IT services and changes. 

  • Vulnerability management and patching 

  • Ensuring services are tested, documented and meet business needs. 

What You’ll Learn 

We’ll help you build skills in: 

  • Linux OS, AWS and virtualisation technologies. 

  • Cloud platforms (Azure), networking basics and storage solutions. 

  • Modern tools like Docker, Kubernetes and automation frameworks (Ansible). 

What We’re Looking For 

  • A degree in Computer Science, IT or related field. 

  • A passion for technology and problem-solving. 

  • UK nationality or 5-year residency (for Security Clearance). 

  • Industry certifications are a bonus - but we’ll help you get there!
